She couldn't get the man from her mind, no matter how much she tried. He was always there, every regret and mistake replaying through her thoughts until she found herself getting confused on what was actually her reality. It was over, and she knew it. She accepted it, but she couldn't move on from it. Something had her stuck there, in this limbo of pain and her usual numbed emotions, and she was getting more then sick of it. This wasn't her. She didn't care. She didn't hurt. Yet, here she was, like some heartbroken human. Pathetic.
What she needed, was another distraction. The decorating had helped for a little while, but the second she had set down the last of her books, it all began to plague her again. "Come on, there has to be something..." she muttered as she began to pace back and forth, fingers clutching her cellphone as her teeth bit into her lower lip. Just as she was about to lose herself in those thoughts once more, the device in her hand went off, the vibrations snapping her instantly from her own personal hell. Scanning the message across the screen, her violet lips curved into a dangerous smirk. Finally, just what she needed.
With a grin, Scotlyn turned and shoved her phone into the pocket of her faded and ripped jeans before scooping up her weapons back. Rummaging around in it, she quickly produced one of her teleportation scrolls and read the direction she needed, instantly bracing herself for that nauseating feeling of her being ripped from one spot and into the next. The world around her began to blur, though despite the warnings that had been drilled into her head, her eyes remained open. She couldn't take a risk of the victim getting her before she had a chance.
The vampiress felt nothing as she scanned the area, the target soon coming into her cleared vision. No remorse. No regret. No care. This was her job, and that was all it would be. The reasoning behind this didn't matter to her, nor did she even question it as she pulled free a vial. The redhead muttered something under her breath in her native tongue as she swiftly brought the vial down against the target, a dark laugh escaping her lips. The rush that moved through her veins was almost more than she could handle.
Not wanting to dally around, she quickly took off a few blocks before resting against a brick wall, her eyes closing for the first time as she allowed herself to regain her bearings. She would leave soon, and continue her trek through the city until the other planned to move, and then she would be back. She would continue to return, until it was taken care of. Just as she was about to stand, she felt a burn to her skin, a low hiss of pain escaping her clenched teeth as her body trembled. She didn't have to open her eyes to know who it was, even if the voice was a strange one to her.
Lips curling into a cruel grin, she opened her mind despite the pain and sent the man a message as she slowly made her way back towards him. This was more fun than she could have thought. The pain, the bloodshed. This was what she was born for, recreated for. This is what she was good at. Pulling free another vial, she smashed this one against him as well, her amethyst hues sparkling dangerously before she displaced herself back to her manor, smirking.
